KYOTO Leather to Present at “Flying Solo Runway Shows” During Paris Fashion Week

October 2026: Japanese Wagyu Leather Meets Kyo-Yuzen and Nishijin-ori on the World Stage
KYOTO Leather (KYOTO Leather Co., Ltd.; headquarters: Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director: Toshihiro Tajiri), a Kyoto-based maison specializing in luxury leather, will take part in “Flying Solo Runway Shows at Paris Fashion Week” on October 7, 2026, during Paris Fashion Week. The show will be held at Hotel Le Marois (9-11 Avenue Franklin Delano Roosevelt) in central Paris. KYOTO Leather will present materials and products that combine Himeji leather with Kyoto’s traditional craft techniques, including Kyo-Yuzen dyeing and Nishijin-ori weaving, to fashion professionals from around the world.

■ Kyoto Craftsmanship, Put to the Test in Paris
The material begins with raw hides from Japanese Wagyu cattle. These hides, a byproduct of meat production, are patiently tanned by skilled tanners in Himeji. By layering Kyoto techniques such as Kyo-Yuzen and Nishijin-ori onto this leather, KYOTO Leather has developed a distinctive form of expression on a single hide. Bringing the handwork passed down in the atelier to a Paris runway, the maison invites the world to judge for itself how far leather from Kyoto can reach.

■ Paris as a Base for Global Outreach
KYOTO Leather regards Paris as the core of its brand communication. With this show as a starting point, the maison will build on the recognition and connections gained here to further accelerate its growth in Japan and internationally.
