A beautifully patterned leather product created by the encounter between dyeing in Kyoto and leather processing in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. Follow the entrepreneur’s efforts and the trial and error of craftsmen who arranged traditional techniques. Leather products that make full use of traditional hand-dyed techniques are now attracting attention from domestic and foreign brands. The entrepreneur who promoted planning and development by combining dyeing in Kyoto and leather in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, overcame the difficulties while going back and forth between the two production areas. The leather craftsman has developed a process that makes it easier to dye leather that is sensitive to water and heat, and the dyeing craftsman has devised a dyeing method and succeeded in applying a beautiful pattern to the leather. The craftsmen of Kyoto and Himeji meet and look at the finest techniques of dyeing and leather created as a result of trial and error.
